Assistant Quality Manager - Beverages
The Assistant Quality Manager - Beverages to function as proactively support working closely with suppliers for new private label development and ensure the compliance with the PL quality procedures and policies and local regulation. Also, coordinate and report the customer complaints, Audit results, lab non-conformities to suppliers & to follow up their action plan.
PERMANENT RESPONSIBILITY
ASSETS:
• Follow up Quality processes associated with the development and monitoring of products.
• Review & validate technical documents related to PL development & ensure its compliance with Carrefour quality policy & local regulation.
• Reviewing supplier audit’s action plans and ensuring its effectiveness.
• Follow up recalls and customer complaints cases by validating and assisting for corrective actions as per quality procedures & policies.
• Reviewing the lab analysis reports for PL products as per quality control plan.
• Maintaining a good communication with supplier, authorities to guarantee the professional image of the department.
• Maintaining a good communication with Quality services providers to guarantee the professional image of the company.
• Preparing the monthly reports regarding the quality activities as per direction.
HUMANS:
• Be a role model and ensure the application of Majid Al Futtaim Retail corporate policies and guarantee the implementation of all laws , regulations and cultural practices of the operating countries are followed and respected
• Practices the company values and policies.
• Good communication and participatory management within the Quality team.
MERCHANDISE:
• Communicate with supplier on technical specification and quality parameters during product development and validate specification along with supportive technical documents.
• Following project development steps to ensure product launching as per project plan.
• Ensure all packaging specifications & labels are complying with local regulation and Carrefour standards.
• Arrange with the collaboration of the commercial team for panel test for underdevelopment products.
• Communicate with supplier on customer complaints and lab analysis non conformities and validate corrective action plan along with supportive technical documents.
• Preparing the monthly reports regarding the quality activities.
• Arrange the regular visit of local suppliers and collaborate with them to finalize the technical file.
FINANCE:
• Respect the procedures in accordance with the DOA.
• review the third party services provider’s invoices to ensure that financial aspects of the third party services providers are adhered to the contracts.
• Propose and take necessary measures towards continuous reduction of the operational costs.
Requirements
Required Education:
Bachelor degree of Food Science / technology or equivalent
Required Technical & Software Skills / Required Licenses & Certifications:
• Strong knowledge in food industries (Sources supplies of raw materials, manufacturing processes – distribution – retail, food additives risk assessment, Lab Analysis).
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Responds positively to changing circumstances.
• Plans, looks ahead and anticipates the outcomes of a task or project and how it will impact upon short, medium and long term objectives.
• Creates new and imaginative approaches to work related issues. Identifies fresh approaches and shows a willingness to question traditional assumptions.

• Ability to assess the severity of non-compliance and conduct appropriate corrective actions on time.
Preferred Languages:
• English (Full professional proficiency - Required)
• Arabic is preferable.
• French is a plus.
Years of Experience:
• 3-5 years professional experience.
Field Experience:
• Food industries preferred in retail.
