Functional Consultant - Microsoft Dynamics AX



Job description / Role
Main responsibilities:
- To assist in implementing the MS Dynamics AX Application.
- Working with business units to facilitate the implementation and support of all Dynamics AX projects of Finance and Project Accounting modules.
- Analyse the business process and operations work flow and come up with the proposals for process mapping in the MS Dynamics plat form.
- Document the agreed business process Mapping with the functional departments and get the approval of the Implementaiton project Head.
- Create the test scripts for MS Dynamics.
- Ensure that the best practices for coding pattern of AX is followed in the development.
- Rollout and support manage AX Finance Modules
- Organize the user acceptance Tests and document the necessary improvements.
- Provide an SOP or User manual to users whenever required.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the system and suggest various ways to improve whenever required.
- Act as the first point of contact for the users for any queries or operational assistance.

Objectives:
The overall responsibility of the Functional Consultant is to Drive the MS Dynamics AX implementation and post implementation support to ensure optimum utilisation and process enhancements.

Reporting to: Group CFO
Other interactions: finance department
Duration: permanent
Gross monthly base salary: negotiable
Other Benefits: as per GCC stanadards

Requirements
- Must be Bachelors or Masters in commerece or accounts or finance.
Extensive knowledge& experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX, process design and transformation, applications implementation, and solution value assessment
- Strong Dynamics AX 2012 Functional background in Financials (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Asset, Cost Management)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Dynamics AX experience.
- Experience in Trade and Logistics AX and Retail Module experience is a plus.
- Microsoft Dynamics AX Finance certifications a plus
- Experience with Management Reporting
- Experience with Finance Reporting from AX
- Expert in writing functional specifications, Gap documentation and training materials.
- Strong Functional, Analytical, Presentation, Documentation, Training and Inter-personal skills.
