AVP Lean Transformation



Job description / Role A leading regional bank in the Middle East is looking to recruit an AVP Lean Transformation for their office in Dubai. This role will be responsible for running and ensuring the success of process improvement initiatives with a focus on customer orientation, service and quality across business and support divisions within the bank. The incumbent will also be responsible for providing expertise on Lean/Six Sigma/Change Management standards and methodology within the bank. This role will report to the VP IT Governance and work closely with senior IT leaders to guide the Lean transformation program within Group IT. The role must provide expertise on Lean principles and how to apply them into information technology, provide required training and coaching to up-skill management, IT subject matter experts and the wider IT staff. The role will project manage the transformation. Once the consulting engagement is then over, this role will maintain the momentum and activities to continue with the transformation activity across Group IT. Once each unit has been transformed, the continuous improvement structures needs to be set up to ensure change is sustainable. Requirements Experience Requirements: - IT based degree, university degree, or equivalent work experience required and banking qualifications. - Experience of at least 4 successful implementations of Lean. - 3+ years experience in IT. - 2 - 4 years of Management consulting experience. - Lean Black Belt Certification (desirable but not essential). - Operational and project management experience including the lead of large company-wide program deployments. - Demonstrated track record using Six Sigma Methodology principles and practices across an entire value stream. - Ability to use systematic and data-driven methods in order to solve problems, analyse and improve processes. - Strong knowledge of financial services from an operational and support perspective.
