Pastry Chef

The Role
Industrial bakery supplying 4* -5* hotels and airlines with Bread and pastries in UAE is looking for an Pastry Chef to lead the pastry team and work under the direction of the GM to achieve the highest level of client satisfaction while maintaining profitability. As a working manager in a high volume Bakery/ Catering , the Pastry Chef will ensure perfection from inception through execution while exhibiting exemplary leadership, partnership, creativity and passion.


Primary Job Functions:
•    Manage Pastry/Bakery team, inspiring creativity, positive morale and motivation
•    Communicate with Pastry/Bakery team on a consistent basis to provide proper direction, clear expectations, and inclusion as valued team members
•    Provide feedback and coaching with team and peers on a daily basis
•    Scratch bake and prepare a wide variety of bread, pastries, desserts, cakes and dessert items, with proven experience in finishing high quality desserts.
•    Work with the GM on new product and recipes
•    Follow Haccp rules guidelines and make sure so does the entire team
•    Occasionally meet the clients to discuss their requirements

Requirements
•    Diploma in Pastry/Bakery arts or a related certification.
•    Minimum 5 years of Pastry management experience in a high volume hotel or catering business
•    Thorough knowledge of HACCP and all safety regulation in food industry in the region.
•    Excellent written, verbal, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
•    Proficient with standard technology, including computers, tablets and smart phones, Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel. Working knowledge of Catering or Banquet software systems.
