Anaesthesia Technician

The Role
Mediclinic Middle East are looking for compassionate and highly skilled Anaesthesia Technician professional for a newly available position at Mediclinic City Hospital in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Mediclinic City Hospital, upon its conception in 2008, was the first multi-disciplinary hospital in Dubai Healthcare City. As a state-of-the-art healthcare facility, it has continued to dominate Dubai’s healthcare landscape in terms of the quality of its medical staff, the breadth of services it offers and the standard of equipment it operates.

With 229 beds, Mediclinic City Hospital can accommodate patients with a wide range of individual health requirements. The successful Anaesthesia Technician will work as part of the Theatre Team in providing maximum quality care to patients undergoing anaesthesia. To provide in a professional manner, skilled, clinical and technical assistance to the Anaesthesiologists.

Requirements
• Perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in performing anesthetic procedures for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics
• Obtain supplies and equipment as requested by anaesthesia providers
• Prepare anaesthetizing locations for indicated procedure to include setting up and calibrating monitoring devices; troubleshoot anesthesia equipment malfunctions, routing non-functional equipment to the proper department for repair
• Caring for and educating patients about their conditions, as well as establishing trust and building rapport with patients and their families
• Guidelines of International Patient Safety Goals and evidence based practice are adhered
• Adapt and maintain a customer-focused mindset that acknowledges the importance and value of the customer, and acts accordingly
• Mutually beneficial relationships are built and maintained with colleagues and multi-disciplinary team
• Ensure patient records meet legal requirements and Mediclinic standards
• Continuous improvement projects are implemented and monitored
• Participate in Continuous Professional Development
• Professional ethics, Mediclinic values and caring standards are demonstrated in behavior
