Materials Engineer
The Role
POSITION OVERVIEW
Performs functions associated with the acquisition, manufacture, testing, delivery, receipt, storage, custody and issuance of required materials to be used in construction.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
Have full awareness of testing requirements.
Check material submissions and properly process approvals.
Visit factories to ensure proper manufacture and testing of materials produced.
Ensure materials delivered are as approved and are properly stored.
Assist in the development of testing procedures.
Keep up-to-date with new appropriate materials.
Give practical advice on construction matters.
Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with approved materials, methods and contract requirements.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Master's Degree in Engineering Geology.
10-15 years of work experience in the field of roads, bridges and associated utilities construction.
Completed at least 2 road/bridge/underpass projects as a Materials Engineer in an engineering/consulting/construction company.
Preferably with UAE or GCC related work experience.
Preferably with previous approvals from local clients in Dubai and Ras Al Khaima.
Willing to work in Dubai and/or Ras Al khaima.
