Manager, Strategic Planning & Execution - MENA
Job description / Role
Role Purpose
Supports delivery of strategic initiatives and assists in identification of growth opportunities to help execute regional strategy ambitions.
Plays a role in building a strong strategy community and culture.
Responsibilities
• Plays a pivotal role in helping execute the regional strategy including key strategic initiatives, acquisition pipeline development and the strategy planning process.
• Collaboratively develops strategic plans & roadmaps for various businesses and high priority segments.
• Demonstrates analytical skills, business acumen and thought leadership to identify, prioritize, structure and solve complex business problems.
• Independently interacts and liaises with mid and senior level stakeholders.
• Creates deliverables including presentations, models, reports, newsletters and other outputs to document and communicate findings.
• Assists the regional leadership team in business decisions by developing and presenting recommendations.
• Provides ongoing support to the Head of Strategic Planning & Execution.
Requirements
• MBA or equivalent required
• 5+ years consulting experience from a strategy consulting firm or within a strategic planning/corporate development function in a global organization.
• Proficiency in using research tools and experience with spreadsheets & quantitative modelling.
• Proven ability to build relationships all levels within an organization.
• Ability to handle multitasking environment, meet deadlines, and work with a wide range of confidential issues.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Prior quantitative analytical experience required.
• Strategy consulting or business strategy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various Thomson Reuters businesses preferred.
