JOB OVERVIEW:
The Senior Transportation Planner is the position who works on transportation planning, traffic engineering assignments who also applies transportation modeling and traffic operation analysis software to develop traffic impact analysis also other corridor and regional transportation studies. The duties specified below are characteristic of the range of duties and responsibilities assigned to this position, and not intended to be an inclusive listing.

Conducts Traffic Impact Studies (TIS).
Supports large scale corridor and regional studies.
Collects, analyzes and interprets transportation data, summarizes data and prepares reports, applies transportation models and reviews model inputs and outputs.
Corresponds, makes presentation and maintains contact with public and private clients.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Traffic, Transportation Engineering or other related engineering disciplines.
Preferably with Master’s Degree in related discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant traffic and transportation design and planning.
Preferably with significant experience in UAE or Middle East.
Adept in database management techniques, statistical and computational analysis principles and methods.
Proficient with standard computer spreadsheet, word processing, presentation software, transportation planning software including VISUM, VISSIM and Operation Analysis Software, and techniques and methods.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferably can speak and write in Arabic.
