Head Corporate Communications

This is for a large Government company based in UAE.

As Head Corporate Communications, you will lead the PR and Media Relations, ensuring representation in the Media is at the optimum level; raising awareness and increasing the company’s reputation as an excellent service provider, while maintaining a positive image of the company.

You should be able to create and implement corporate PR strategy and accordingly preparing plans for supporting media relations and publicity that would help promote and publicize the company’s name and activities amongst the customers. You will collect info, analyses & distributes to all business units and combines results into formal reports besides creating PR strategy for execution.

Requirements
In addition, you must proactively monitor the Arabic radio stations to deflect criticism where possible and to detect issues before they emerge, particularly those issues which could impact negatively on the business reputation. Manage the delivery of our contract with the agency according to the retainer amount agreed upon without exceeding it. Assuring delivery of the elements mentioned in the contract in timely manner. Maintain an extensive database of Press and Media contacts. Manage relationships with PR Agencies.

To be successful you would ideally possess a minimum 7 to 12 years of experience in PR/consultancy in a PR consultancy or in-house PR supervisory role or media house, have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications/Journalism.
