Junior Category Merchandiser - Wojooh
The Junior Category Merchandisers’ role is to help maximize the profit potential and support management’s business decision making by consolidating and analysing regional sell out, gross margin, and stock data.
Key responsibilities of a JCM include: data gathering, cleansing, organizing as well as ensuring data integrity, MTD and YTD trend reports on sales, ranking and market share of brands and groups, in-depth report of individual stores and consolidated performance focusing on category growth, best-sellers, budget achievement, basket details, and productivity.

Main responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis
• Consolidate local reports on sell out, gross margin, and stocks
• Perform regular regional reports on store, category, and brand performance
• Prepare regional monthly reports on the network’s performance at store level and consolidated level highlighting the following:
• Sales trend versus last year and versus target
• Sales split by category with growth versus last year
• Sales productivity by SQM
• Sales and market share performance of major groups/brands
• Basket analysis (VPT, PPT, PPP, Footfall, and Conversion Rate)
• Performance of top brands per category including sales, market share and rank with variance versus last year
• Prepare regional monthly reports for major brands and groups about their performance at store level and consolidated level highlighting the following:
• Sales trend versus last year with the split by brand and/or by category
• Market share trend versus last year with the split by brand and/or by category
• Ranking by category with variances versus last year
• Sell out per SKU
• Prepare weekly sales report at store and consolidated level (trends, budget achievement, total growth and comparable growth, and store ranking, etc…)
• Ensure proper organization of regional sell out data at SKU level for all doors
• Generate local reports from Oracle BI for suppliers of Allied Enterprises which includes weekly and monthly sell out by door by SKU, weekly and monthly stock report by SKU by location, monthly rankings by brand by door
• Communicate the reports to regional and local suppliers
• Create analysis templates on Oracle BI to be used on management’s dashboards and for quick report generation
• Prepare monthly MTD and YTD market share reports by country and by brand
• Prepare monthly MTD and YTD rankings by store by brand and by category
• Prepare monthly MTD and YTD best-sellers report by country by category
• Provide in-depth reports on category management (as needed) by analyzing store’s sales by furniture type (shelves, wall units, gondola unit, etc.)
• Monitor the achievement of partnership rebates
• Build reports on beauty retail competition at local and regional level on a regular basis
• Prepare comprehensive business reviews for top management meetings as needed
• Prepare strategy meeting presentations for major brands and groups twice a year
• Ad hoc reporting upon request such as sales split by customer ethnicity, new fragrances launch study, brand mapping, store mapping, etc.
Coordination
• Ensure that commercial figures match with financial figures (US dollar rates, closing doors, opening doors, comparable doors) by verifying with Financial Analyst/Sr. Financial Analyst
• Assist in setting up yearly KPIs and monthly line targets by country and regional
• Coordinate the splitting of budget by brand or by category at store level and translate the budget into basket KPIs
• Support projects as required such as E-commerce, CRM, app creation, etc.
• Log IT incident reports for errors found in Oracle BI
• Liaise with the marketing department on key figures for digital work and animation

• Reports delivered to deadline (Reports delivered to deadline / Total # reports)
• Number of supplier reports (Number of reports vs. guidelines)

Education
• Degree education
Previous Experience
• 1-2 years’ experience in Merchandising, hanlding data and reporting, preferably within cosmetics/beauty
