HVAC / Chiller Technician

 •    Diagnosis, maintenance, repairs, overhauls and operation of all electro/mechanical systems and equipment for commercial chiller systems
•    Monitor and control School temperature
•    Conduct daily inspections of the Chiller system to ensure optimum operating conditions and prevent unnecessary interruption or breakdowns of operations.
•    Maintain chemical levels in the chiller water dosing system and perform water treatment if required
•    Duct/insulation works, cleaning filters, replacing filters, flushing drains. Assemble, install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves and perform welding if required.
•    Ensure that appropriate service manuals, technical manuals and blueprints are utilized during preventive maintenance, repair or replacement of systems or components
•    Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication and calibration if required
•    Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, accidents, injuries or other safety hazards immediately to the Supervisor/Manager
•    Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
•    Maintain proper maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed
•    Comply with quality assurance expectations, best engineering practices and standards
•    Protect company tools, equipment, machines, or other assets in accordance with School policies and procedures
•    Ensure uniform, ID tags, and personal appearance are clean, hygienic, professional and in compliance with School policies and procedures
•    Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personal protective clothing and employ correct lifting procedures to avoid injuries
•    Follow our school specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies)
•    Follow Hazardous Material Management Program procedures for handling and disposing of chemicals, fertilizer, pesticides etc., including using Material Safety Data Sheets
•    If required complete appropriate safety training and certifications
•    Work Independently or with minimum supervision
•    Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Manager

Physical Tasks:
•    Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 kg without assistance
•    Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 kg
•    Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects and keep the area clean.
•    Move up/down stairs and service ramps, carrying ladder.
•    Assemble/Dismantle scaffolding with other team members
•    Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling

Requirements
•    Diploma in Refrigeration/ AC Qualification, certified HVAC technician or equivalent
•    At least 4 years of related work experience in UAE
•    Preferred experience on York systems
•    Able to write and speak in English
•    Technical and problem solving skills
•    Candidates must be present in UAE while applying (on tourist/visit/resident visa)
