Obstetrics and Gynecology (Labor and Delivery, Oncology, Antenatal and Post Partum wards); Oncology, Neonatal ICU, Operating Rooms, Ambulatory Care Center, Home Health Care Program, VIP Wards, Royal Suite, College of Medicine and Nursing College.

Job Title : Clinical Resource Nurse
Responsible to : Director, Clinical Nursing
Basic Function:
Within the mission, vision and values of the hospital and the Division of Nursing Services, provides unit-based
skills assessment and development for nursing personnel, nursing students, interns and residents within a clinical specialty.
Principle Duties :
Clinical Practice:
Completes assigned responsibilities within established hospital, divisional and unit specific guidelines, policies and procedures, standards,protocols, etc.
Actively participates in the development, implementation and evaluation or unit-based orientation and skills competency assessments.
Maintains high visibility (90% clinical presence} on area(s) of responsibility.
Evaluates and instructs staff and students in the performance of direct patient dire and clinical documentation.
Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating skill development programs for staff/students in coordination with Nurse Manager and
Noising Education Department and faculty (s).
Demonstrates effective communication and collaboration skills when interacting with patients/families, other health care Health members and
members of other departments.
Administration:
Refers staff and students performance concerns (o Nurse Managers.
Acts as a resource to staff and student for patient care related skills and knowledge.
Maintains all records pertaining to the operation of the area of assignment and generates reports as required.
Education & Research:
Assesses learning needs of staff and students and develops learning plans in conjunction with the Nurse Manager Nursing Education and
University faculty. Maintains documentation related to staff and students developmental needs and action plans.
Assumes responsibility for own professional growth.
Participates m teaching and mentoring of Nursing, Medical and Paramedical students. Interns and Residents.
Quality:
Assumes leadership role in quality improvement activities in clinical area(s).
Works with all health care team members in activities designed for the improvement of patient care outcomes.
Develops, implements and participates in Quality improvement processes and activities
Complies with hospital infection control and safety protocols.
Professionalism:
Serves as a professional role model,teacher and resource person.
Demonstrates respect, compassion and cultural sensitivity to patients/families, other hospital employees, students and faculty. Advocates for excellence in patient care.
Participates actively in unit, Nursing and/or hospital committees and work groups.

UNIT NAME: Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU)
PATIENT POPULATION: Adult
Mixed gender
HOURS OF OPERATION:
24 hours a day / 7 days a week
NUMBER OF BEDS: 8 Operational beds
OCCUPANCY RATE: 100%
PRIMARY PATIENT DIAGNOSES:
Status Epiiepticus requiing continuous BEG monitoing
Acute Citical Reversible Cerebral Ischemia
Compromised Central Nervous System Infection
Neuromuscular Dysfunction (Myasthenia Gravis, Guillian Barre)
Space Occupying Lesions
Neurosurgical patients with External Venticular Drainage
Post Interventional Neuro-radiological procedure
Acute Cervical Spinal Cord Injuries (excluding trauma patients)
Subarachnoid Hemorrhage (SAH)/ SAH Post Aneurysm Clipping
Respiratory Failure
PROCEDURES:
Intracranial Pressure Monitoring
Continuous EEG Monitoring
Continuous Brain Tissue and Cerebral Blood Flow Monitoring
Continuous Jugular Venous Oxygen Saturation Monitoring
Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoing
Management of Vasopressors
Percutaneous Tracheostomy
Airway management - Mechanical Ventilation & High Frequency Oscillation

Registered Nurse with a current Nursing license - E
Diploma in Nursing (Western standard) - E
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Western standard) - P
Three (3) years current clinical experience in specific area - E
Previous experience in a teaching role - P
