Chief Information Officer



Our client, a large healthcare provider is currently in need of a Chief Information Officer who will provide overall leadership and strategy responsibility for Information Systems, Security, Infrastructure and delivering a differentiated technology offering for the group.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Define core technology and software capability required to support company’s departments and strategic objectives.
•    Ensure IT service related issues are dealt with, managing the escalation process and monitoring users’ satisfaction.
•    Ensure IT infrastructure operations are running at adequate service levels.
•    Examine company's operations and how technology works within it.
•    Develop strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives
•    Oversee the development and testing of new programs developed specifically for the company.
•    Ensure the company's data remains secure by keeping up to date on the latest cyber security threats and finds ways to guard against them on an organisation-wide scale
•    Review vendor proposals and makes decisions based on things such as price, what they offer, and how the vendor product may fit into the organization.
•    Monitor the engagement of 3rd party contractors. Seek out vendors that may have something of value to offer to the company
•    Communicate with other executive members to make sure all parts of the company use technology in the best ways possible

Requirements
•    Higher Degree (from internationally recognized university) - Computer Science and/or Information Technology
•    Strong Leadership, Excellent Oral Communication, Excellent Written Communication and Analytical Skills
•    Minimum 20 years of experience in Information and Technology and at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role
•    Background in healthcare environment is preferred
•    Experience directing complex multi-site organizations preferred.
•    Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, to succeed in a fast-moving high-demand environment, to set and manage priorities, and to assist in supporting business-critical projects when necessary.
•    Ability to interact with senior managers as well as relate to all levels of the end user community.
•    Strong project planning and organizational skills are required along with the ability to manage and lead multiple projects.
•    Demonstrated experience in personnel management and strong leadership skills.
•    Previous experience in developing and overseeing IT budgets, program development,
